When I left, I noticed my hands smelled like dog.
And I smiled and kept sniffing them.
I’ve missed that puppy face.
I’ve missed my best friend too, and it was nice to think he was happy to see me too, even if he didn’t jump on me and lick my face.
You are the strongest and the softest girl. I love the way you know yourself, and how deliberately you live your life, the way you step with care through the crowds around you.
I love you.
Dear Coco Bean,
I love the way you dive confidently into whatever wave of emotion the tides have brought you, and how fearlessly you swim right through. Your giggles should be bottled.
And I love you.
WHO WOVES YOUR PUPPY FACE? WHO WOVES IT? IS IT MAMA? DOES MAMA WOVE YOUR PUPPY FACE? YES SHE DOES! YES SHE DOES!
Luca gets hysterical when Nick rides a unicycle.
Knickers – “Luca looks HOT.”
Valancy Jane – *blinks* “Uh…..” *blinks again*
Knickers – “I mean, like, NOT COLD.”
Lou is having the exterminators at her house today, so last night she brought her four birds over to my house for a few days. There’s a full symphony of chirping. It’s awesome. It’s like, it’s birdie summer camp at my house.
So of course we made glitter and macoroni pictures. And sang old country songs.
And celebrated Mau’s 6th birthday.
There’s Mau and Dulce and Sidra.
Oh yeah, I got another cat. Or rather, another cat got me.
So I’d like to introduce you all to Rev. Sidra Lenore Fitzgerald. She has the most fantastic ear tufts of any cat I’ve ever seen.
And what pet post is complete without pictures of Luca and Nick?
They really like it when I take pictures of them napping. See?
So here’s Luca, suffering through his rough life.
True love, ladies and gentlemen. People ask me why, when Nick moved out, I didn’t keep Luca. But I could never come between this. They look out for each other, for me.
Nick’s first road race.
Luca cheers him on!
Nick finishes the brutal course.
