“Busted,” I said.

“Hmmm?” He put the cat down quickly.

“I saw you. I saw you petting and talking to her.”

“I don’t know what you mean.”

“You were stroking her widdle face.”

“I was trying to cast out her demons.”

“YOU LOVE HER. I’m telling [Roommate A.]”

  1. Actually, Dulce is openly adored by all. Well, we’ve all in hushed tones acknowledged that she can be a bit needy and sometimes she’s handed off like, “dude, your turn to indulge the petting sponge.”
But she’s a lady and we all know it.

The cat in question here was actually Rebecca, Roommate A’s half grown tomboy of a cat.

  2. Just kidding! Also, how can anyone NOT love cats? You have to have a serious cranial defect to not love widdle bitty cat noses, faces, ears, and paws.

  3. Nobody can resist some pet loving after a while. Especially cats. They insist on it until they wear you down and you let your guard down and finally fall into temptation.

  4. It’s so true. And Rebecca may be in her adolescent phase but she’s still a very loveable critter. Dainty paws, very curious, a rattly purr. It would be hard for anyone not to be worn down by her.
