My Homie in Marketing is hiring a new summer intern.

I told him he should hire Desiree, since he says her name with an extra syllable, “des-sir-haaaaaaaaaaaay-ay.” I told him never to underestimate the worth of that, in our day to day lives.

She’s got a second interview. And I’m SURE she has me to thank for that. Right?

Turns out she didn’t get it, the other guy did. I asked MHiM if we could call the other guy Desiree, he said yes. I told him he should call Desiree and tell her that while they’ve decided to hire the other guy, the good news is that they’ll be calling him Desiree.
I’m sure she’d be glad to hear that.
