The point is that they try to get the scammers to send <i>them</i> money. It's hilarious. One guy actually got the scammers to send a $100 bill. It was awesome. He made up this whole thing about a custom here to send money before a big deal, and how he was all set to wire the advance fee to Nigeria, but couldn't because he was insulted the scammers hadn't sent the "good faith money."
